Happy Canada Day and 4th of July! Our household is both American and Canadian, so this is a fun time of year for us. It always feels like the kick off to summer. The last few years we've had a big Canada Day BBQ. This year was our biggest, with 31 people showing up! We had hot dogs and cake, with lots of delicious side dishes. Every year for more than 30 years now, my family in Seattle gets together on the 4th of July for a baseball game and a BBQ. The game is lazy, and the food is phenomenal. My sister always makes a fancy ice cream, and my mother makes a few of her famous pies. This year Breccan got to hit and run the bases for the first time. We have people from 3 generations playing now! Nick grew up playing baseball, and he loves a chance to show off his skills! Do you have any family traditions for Canada Day or 4th of July? Anyone out there celebrate both like we do?
