Festival of Lights at Van Dusen Gardens
We took Breccan to the Festival of Lights at VanDusen Gardens tonight. Breccan was being a bit of a rebel all night. He decided to venture off the path in the gingerbread village to explore one of the houses and Nick had to chase him down. He went crazy on the drums in the Sound House, and he kept trying to backtrack on the trail even when they were trying to close up. He was also showing off his dance moves while watching the synchronized lights!
The Festival of Lights is great for all ages of kids. We took him last year when he was still just stumbling around. We made sure to bring the carrier to haul him around when we wanted to walk through the trails. This year he was happy to run around and burn off that toddler energy. We brought the umbrella stroller for "we need to move along" emergencies - particularly when he was stalling when it came time to leave. It was too much for our cheap umbrella stroller on some of the stair sections, but it was better than hauling the big stroller around the whole time.
